Greg gives his insight on the matter and says usually it has no effect on the housing market because most people occupying homes aren’t looking at it because of the federal rates, but because they got married or moved or just want to buy a home. There is a lot of talk of millennials postponing home buying, but Kevin says it is because they are saving up to put down a larger down payment. Kevin brings up the housing crisis the US market experiences 10 years ago, and the discuss ATTOM Data results of foreclosure rates, which was the lowest it has been in 13 years. Kevin gives his prediction with whether or not we will see those numbers rise. Off-market deals — everyone has something to say about it, Abhi says. He has been a real estate investor for over seven years and is contemplating partnering up with someone. He wants to know if this is a beneficial experience and Greg and Abhi have their opinion for him and anyone that is contemplating partnering up with someone. The second question comes from Clint who lives in a college town in Bloomington, Ind. He wants to know if it’s a good idea to invest in college town rentals. There are plenty of pros and cons to renting to students, and you probably already know how Greg and Abhi will react, but be sure to hear all about the logic behind their answers. There are lots of factors to take into consideration! Our final question comes from Russell who lives in California. He wants to start investing but realizes that in the city where he resides, it is unlikely to invest because of the extremely high property prices.
